High Temperature Curtains
|High temp industrial curtains are used in areas that are exposed to extremely high heat. Materials with continuous temperature resistance of up to 1500°F and a short duration temperature resistance of up to 2000°F are used to fabricate these extreme heat barriers. High temp curtain wall applications / industries include (but are not limited to) the following:

Industrial High Temp Curtain Materials
1) Silicone Coated Fiberglass
Silicone Coated fiberglass material has a continuous temperature resistance of 500°F (1000°F for the base fabric, and 500°F for the coating). This is a fiberglass-based fabric for high temp curtain walls that provides greater abrasion, puncture, and tear resistance, along with greater life, water and oil repellency, low smoke, and flame retardancy. Available in gray and red.
ANSI/FM 4950 – Approved as a Welding Curtain
Meets military specification: MIL-Y-1140C
2) Slag Shed Fiberglass
Slag Shed Fiberglass material has a continuous temperature resistance of 1100°F. This fiberglass-based high heat curtain wall has an abrasion resistant coating for tough welding applications, and will shed molten spatter and sparks to 3000°F if it is utilized at an incline that is approximately 15° (or greater), away from the source of heat. Available in black and gold.
Resistant to most acids, alkalines, and solvents (exception is hydrofluoric acid and corrosive environments at higher temps.
3) Vermiculite Coated Fiberglass
Vermiculite Coated fiberglass material has a continuous temperature resistance of 1500°F and a short duration temperature resistance of 2000 °F. This highly texturized, amorphous silica-based fabric has a vermiculite high temperature treatment which provides excellent abrasion resistance and better molten splash resistance. This particular construction of material reduces airborne fibers and unraveling of your high temperature curtain wall.
Resistant to most acids, alkalines, and solvents (exception is hydrofluoric acid and corrosive environments at higher temps).
